Deferment Forms

A deferment is a temporary postponement of payments on your student loan if you meet specific requirements. Common deferments include Economic Hardship, Education Related, In-School, Military, and Unemployment. Download deferment forms.

Discharge & Forgiveness Forms

Depending on your situation, there may be a State or Federal program to potentially discharge or forgive all or a portion of your federal student loan debt. The Quality Educator Loan Assistance Program was established by the Montana state legislature and is administered by MGSLP, or there are Federal Programs in relation to Closed Schools, Death, False Certification, Income-Based Repayment Forgiveness, Loan Repayment Program for Civil Legal Assistance Attorneys, Spouses and Parents of September 11, 2001 Victims, Teacher Loan Forgiveness, and Total and Permanent Disability. Forbearance Forms

Forbearance allows you to temporarily stop making payments on your student loan, but because forbearance is granted at the lender's discretion, there are no universal guidelines. In general, forbearance is granted on your account when you cannot make payments for a certain period of time but do not qualify for a deferment. More information can be found in Forbearance. Income-Based Repayment

Income-Based Repayment (IBR) is designed to reduce monthly payments to assist with making your student loan debt manageable. If you need to make lower monthly payments, this plan may be for you. Download income-based repayment forms.
